Tell Congress: Stop the Cuts to Humanitarian Aid

Humanitarian aid makes up less than 1% of the U.S. federal budget. Yet it saves lives through humanitarian programs that provide basic needs to refugees and people experiencing conflict, natural disasters, and hunger. It also strengthens national security and supports our economy.

But since President Trump took office, the attacks on humanitarian aid have been unprecedented and breathtakingly cruel — from the shutdown of USAID to the rescission of billions of dollars of aid that Congress had approved.

Now, President Trump is trying to slash this budget even further in the upcoming budget for the government’s new fiscal year, doubling down on the devastating cuts already made this year.
