Tell Your Senators: VOTE NO on Cuts to Foreign Aid The Trump administration called on Congress to slash more than $8 billion in foreign aid funding that has already been approved! Foreign aid makes up less than 1% of the US federal budget. Yet it saves lives through humanitarian programs that provide basic needs to refugees and people experiencing conflict, natural disasters, and hunger. It also strengthens national security and supports our economy. Last week, the House of Representatives voted to approve these devastating cuts. Now, the Senate is preparing to cast its vote. Time is running out to act. Tell your lawmakers to stand by their commitments and oppose these funding cuts now. Personal Information Title Mr. Mrs. Ms. Miss Mx. Rabbi Dr. Rev. Yes No Personalize Your Message Dear {contact_data~salutation}, As your constituent, I strongly urge you to vote NO on the proposed rescission of over $8 billion in foreign aid — resources that have already been approved by Congress. I believe strategic and effective international assistance saves lives, promotes our national and economic security, and demonstrates the generosity of America on the global stage. This lifesaving and lifechanging funding supports basic human needs like clean water, food, and medical care to people in crisis. It also enhances global peace and stability by preventing conflict and curing diseases that could impact us here at home. America is safer, stronger, and more prosperous when we play an active, positive role in the world. I strongly urge you to vote no on legislation to cancel critical international affairs funding Congress has already approved.
