Tell Congress: VOTE NO on Mass Deportation and Detention! Congress will vote soon on a budget resolution that massively increases funding for mass deportation, detention, and a militarized border. To pay for this, the budget will cut essential services like Medicaid and food assistance. These policies will not solve real problems. Instead, they are motivated by false narratives that cause harm to millions of families, asylum seekers, and immigrants. We need to reach out to Congress now and insist they get their priorities straight. Tell your elected officials: VOTE NO on massive spending for the failed policies of the past — invest our tax dollars in programs that uplift our communities, not tear them apart. Yes No Personalize Your Message Dear {contact_data~salutation}, As your constituent, I urge you to VOTE NO on the proposed budget resolution before the Senate and House of Representatives. The budget resolution will dramatically increase funding for deterrence-only immigration policies that fail to make our communities more secure and our economy stronger. More funding for mass deportation, detention, and a militarized border should not come at the expense of opportunity, safety and growth. The United States has a historic, moral and legal commitment to protect individuals who seek safety from persecution. The budget resolution will undermine these commitments. Increasing mass deportation, detention, and a militarized border to deter immigration is not only ineffective but also puts people in extreme danger. When legal pathways are blocked, individuals are often forced to turn to human smugglers in Mexico — exposing them to violence, kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault. These policies also target and instill fear among hard-working immigrants who contribute to our safety and strengthen our economy. Substantive research shows that as the immigrant share of the population grows, crime rates decline. Additionally, economists overwhelmingly agree that immigration drives growth and economic opportunity. Congress should invest in research-backed, proven policies that support our safety, health, and well-bring. Instead, the proposed budget resolution will endanger the public, separate families, and scapegoat immigrants. We should uplift our communities, not tear them apart. I strongly urge you to VOTE NO on the proposed budget resolution.
