We must protect the dignity, safety, and rights of all who seek refuge in the U.S.

On January 20, Donald Trump will become president, and his previous administration has shown a history of obliterating refugee protection in the U.S.

HIAS is prepared to defend immigrant and refugee rights in court, in the halls of Congress, and alongside our allies. But we need your voice.

Take action now by signing the pledge to demand policies that respect the humanity and safety of immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Together, we can insist that our country remains a place of refuge, dignity, and hope for all.

I stand with HIAS and people across the U.S. in calling on the incoming administration to protect the rights, safety, and dignity of all who seek refuge in this country. Together, we will:

  • Fight back against harmful policies that undermine immigrant and refugee rights.
  • Urge the Trump administration to balance order at the border with maintaining the fundamental right to seek asylum.
  • Urge the Trump administration to maintain a strong refugee resettlement program, because resettlement is good not only for the people whose lives the program saves but also for the American economy and national security.

We have a duty to ensure that America remains a place of refuge, opportunity, and hope for those who need it most. By adding my name, I commit to supporting HIAS’ mission to help people seeking safety and welcome the stranger.
