ACT: Tell Congress to Hold ICE and CBP Accountable NOW
Since January 2025, at least 52 people have died in ICE custody, and 10 people have been fatally shot by federal immigration officials (including ICE agents) in enforcement-related operations and street encounters.
Congress must step in to check the power of the Trump administration and its acting agencies, which are continuing brutal campaigns of deportation, detention, and fear. Congress must exercise their oversight authority, stop writing blank checks to ICE and CBP, and investigate the lives lost.
As long as ICE and CBP agents are roaming through our communities with unlimited funds and zero accountability, no one will feel safe, and it will likely lead to more tragic deaths.
But we can change that. Join HIAS in sending a message to your congressional representatives to hold ICE and CBP accountable NOW.
